Synopsis

In the second book of The Trust Me? Trilogy, Jeni Taylor and Aiden O'Connell seemed to find life challenging, but as the third book begins, we are faced with the idea that maybe they may not get their Happily Ever After. Jeni is broken and confused after a vicious physical and emotional attack, leaving her with no energy to fight for her relationship with Aiden. She's terrified and feels like the world is against her. Through some tough love and help from an old friend Jeni finally realises how deeply in love with Aiden she is. She asks him to take her back, but when she discovers Aiden is moving to help run a new business acquisition in Tokyo, is it too late?

Alistair's taunts and abuse toward Jeni worsen, leaving her already broken and fragile state to deteriorate even further. Will Jeni find the strength to pull her life back together? With jealousy over a possible new love and with tensions high, the conclusion to The Trust Me? Trilogy will take you on a roller-coaster ride. The electricity and love between Jeni and Aiden is undeniable. Will they see past all the hurdles and find their way to each other? In the end, Jeni will be asking the ultimate question: Does Aiden know that he really does have all of me?

Snippet # 1

I lean up to kiss him and as I do he pushes me back into the elevator wall and kisses me passionately taking me by surprise. He leans his whole body against mine as he reaches out and slams his hand on the emergency stop button. The elevator grinds to a halt, jolting us.
I smirk at him "you did not just do that?" I ask as he moves his hand to the top of my pants.
"I think I just did," he says as he swiftly pulls my pants down to my ankles. I giggle and step one leg out of my pants and panties.
"Are we seriously going to do this?" I ask as Aiden grins mischievously.
"Abso-fuckin'-lutely, it's been a fantasy to do this in here with you for as long as I can remember," he says then crushes his lips to mine.

Snippet # 2

"You look terrible," I say making him chuckle.
"Well you look beautiful."
I shake my head. "Aiden I don't know what to say."
"Say you love me."
I close my eyes, I know he's right, I do love him, and there's never been any doubt about that.

Snippet # 3

He looks at me with his beautiful blue sparkling eyes full of lust while he enters me. Moving deeply into me, he exhales when our pelvis' touch. My hands find their way to his shoulder blades when he puts his full weight on me, moving his hips in a circular motion and thrusting hard and fast. He continues his rhythm making me moan loudly as he thrusts, rotates and thrusts again. Our breathing becomes erratic when he quickens his pace.
"I. Love. You." he says through staggered breaths after each thrust. All I can do is moan in response.

My Review

"You're my absolute everything, Jeni, I live and breathe you. I'll never love another the way I love you. My life has purpose and meaning when I'm with you. My life was empty without you and I was a shell of a man with nothing to live for."

This was a beautiful end to a wonderful Trilogy. I still love the relationship between Jeni and Aiden and how they are together. After the second book, Jeni is still untrustworthy with Aiden over what happened in the apartment. Every day she has the constant battle of wanting to get over him, wanting to trust him and missing him beyond compare. But how can she move forward when the one man who she thought could do anything, in her eyes, failed to protect her?
Throughout the book you are constantly hoping and praying for these two to get back together and find yourself wanting to knock some sense into Jeni. You can understand her reluctance to trust Aiden, but at the same time your like 'Come on woman!' A great aspect of this book was the way that we saw Jeni grow and progress throughout the book. She really begins to hold her own, a big need with the way that her relationship with Allistair and how he continues to belittle her. Aiden is definitely one of my favourite males in books that I've read. He really is a great guy. He'd do anything for Jeni and loves her unconditionally. He's sweet, caring, protective and the perfect guy to make Jeni see that sometimes, we have to let down the barriers, and let people in. I loved watching their relationship continue and grow into a beautiful story.

The book is not all about Jeni and Aiden though. We focus on other characters such as Sarah, Chris and Allistair within the story too. Sarah and Chris are such amazing supporting characters. They are hilarious and I found myself laughing all the time when they were in the scenes. They gave the look a bit less seriousness and helped keep your mind focused on the bigger picture other than Jeni or Aiden. I find myself really wanting a story that is about them, and their story too. Just to look into their minds and see how they are. A major factor in all the stories in Allistair. He is a man that everyone hates. In this story we do get to see why he is the way he is and sometimes, I did find myself feeling a little sympathetic towards him. In no way did I like him, but I understood his situation a little more.

Overall this was a perfect ending to the story of Jeni and Aiden. A trilogy that will make you want to revisit it once in a while to spend more time with the characters.

My Rating: 4

Synopsis

Jenifer Taylor is content with her life, dull and boring as it is. Being absent from the dating scene means she doesn't have to deal with the major trust issues she has with men that stem from a controlling and aggressive ex-boyfriend and an absentee father. She's happy being alone, sharing her life with her friends and family.

When Jeni starts a typical day in the big city of Mornington Vale, California, it turns from bad to worse when she's involved in a chain collision on her way to work.

Her world changes forever that day because she meets Aiden O'Connell, the billionaire son of Alistair O'Connell, who owns Mornington Vale's largest financial corporation. Aiden is an up-and-coming young businessman who's ready to take on the vice presidency of his father's company. He is the good son, and it's imperative to Alistair that Aiden succeed and follow in his footsteps. Life for Aiden involves working hard and not much else.

After the accident, however, Aiden's world changes as well. He finds Jeni irresistible and instantly pursues her. With some coaxing, she eventually agrees to a date, and the attraction is mutual.

Jeni finds love quickly with Aiden, but trusting him is another issue. When to trust is tested in many different ways but comes to a head when Aiden is investigated for a serious crime. As her trust issues spark, she is forced to go through a journey of self-discovery.

She must decide once and for all whether she trusts the man she loves when she's asked the ultimate question: "Do you trust me?"
