He thought I owned him.
He thought he loved me, that I was enough. But this animal, this sex
god who could drive me crazy and steal my heart in the same breath, he
would never fully be mine. It was impossible. No one ever owned a God…
One year. I have one year to find out more about this man I am marrying. More about his family. More about our sex, and all of the dirty, delicious places it will take me.
I thought I’d spend this year making a decision. I never thought the decision would be taken from me, snatched right from my naive little hands.

I straddled Brad’s body, and he leaned back into the sectional, his eyes drugged with arousal, watching me, the line of his mouth barely affected by the smile that lay there. He ran his hands freely over the front of my dress, dipping inside my low and loose neckline and cupping each breast in turn. “God, you are beautiful.”
I said nothing, only gently moved against him, feeling a slight vibration run through us as the bass rocked a particularly loud note. I could feel the energy of the club, the muted hum of music, of a thousand bodies of barely-contained madness—dancing, kissing, falling in love—underneath us.
“Kiss me,” he commanded.
I shook my head with a smile. “No. Keep touching me.”
A second hand joined his first, both palms sweeping up and cradling my breasts, the pull of the fabric joined with the rough skin of his palms temptingly perfect. He growled, low in his throat. “Like this?” He squeezed, a little rougher on my nipples, my breath catching.
“Yeah.”
“Then kiss me.” He bucked up with his hips, throwing me forward, his upper body lifting, his mouth looking for mine, but I turned my head, gave him my neck, giggling when he nipped it.
“Not yet,” I whispered. “I’m not going to kiss you until his cock is deep inside of me.”
His hands tightened on me, and he groaned my name as he tore at the straps of my dress, pulling the fabric from me, a shiver running through me as my upper body was exposed.
There was a click of a door handle, and my breath caught as I looked up, seeing the black door swing open, a tall suit of gorgeous stepping inside, a phone at his ear, our eyes catching onto and holding each other.
Wow. Alessandra Torre has done it again. Left me a pile of emotional mess wondering what the hell to do. This book blew me away. It is the continuation of Brad and Julia's story, so you MUST read them books beforehand to understand the story and initially the couple.
Where to start, Brad and Julia are now engaged an planning their wedding. Not everyone is happy about this though and they receive a lot of grief from Brad's family and also from her office worker. There are problems with being in Brad's life due to the status of his family (you need to read the previous books to understand why) but neither Brad or Julia let this get them down. Their love for one another shines through the book completely, you can never doubt this connection between them.
It is in this book that we really see Julia grow into a very strong character, not that she wasn't before, but in this book she really holds her own and neither hold back when it comes to getting what they want. As a couple they really do shine and they start to question their previous sexual desires and become more content with each other. Do they really need all the extras?
You are kept guessing throughout the book and the twists in the plot capture and keep you attention throughout. It was a thoroughly brilliant read and I would recommend the series 100%. And if your looking for a VERY hot book with incredible sex scenes and steaminess then you have definitely got the right book. They are off the scale! They are so hot, but still manage to maintain the intimacy of a couple. A very good balance.
My only gripe was the ending. I can't give anything away, I just wish there was a little more closure on things but it doesn't affect the story in any way really. The epilogue was perfect. I love that addition to the story. This book was a thrill of a ride and sooo many emotions were in play throughout. A great read.
